Challenges!

 

Does anyone else get excited when the Prophet extends challenges to us at conference? There were 2 that I remember (I'm super excited to go through the talks and find all the things). 

1. "As you study your scriptures during the next six months, I encourage you to make a list of all that the Lord has promised He will do for Covenant Israel. I think you will be astounded." Russell M. Nelson

2. "I renew my invitation for you to increase your understanding of priesthood power and of temple covenants and blessings." - Russell M. Nelson. 

I love receiving these challenges, because they're like this little guiding light telling me exactly what I should study for the next 6 months. It's wonderful! 

Anyone do Inklings with Emily Belle Freeman? If not, I highly recommend.  

How are you starting this study? This week, I'm just going through the scriptures in the Topical Guide under "Israel, Blessings of" and making a list of the blessings I find. I'm absolutely planning on delving a little deeper, but for now, a quick overview will work for me. 

Also, if you want the wide margin conference talks, there are two options. The first is to get the free PDF, print it and bind it yourself. The PDFs are all over the internet, but I like using Work + Wonder's. Once you print it and bind it (from Staples), it's normally about $12-15 depending on the options you choose. Some people just print off the talks and put them in a 3 ring binder. 

The second option is to get it from Deseret Book Company. It's only $8 from there, but if you're like me and need to have it shipped, it's an additional $5. This comes to about $13. So, they're both pretty similar in price. 

Choose what works best for you. There's not right or wrong way to do this.
